About Dainty Bee Design

Hi, I’m Karen. I'm based in the North East of England: Newcastle upon Tyne / County Durham, and my wedding stationery is available UK wide. I am the creative behind Dainty Bee Design.  I may, or I may not be a magic elf... I'll let you decide! ;D

My background is in print: artwork design, project management and pre-press. I have worked with many clients across both large and small format print, some of which you will of seen in shops and supermarkets on the high street as well as on buses and billboards. That experience gave me a solid foundation, but what I truly love now is putting those skills into something more personal; creating wedding stationery that feels heartfelt, unique, and beautifully designed to reflect each couple’s story.​

Outside of work I love spending time outdoors, whether that’s wandering along the North East’s stunning beaches, exploring the countryside with my family or finding a little calm on my yoga mat. For me, Yoga is a gentle reminder of flexibility, balance and precision. That same approach flows into my work at Dainty Bee Design.

Recently, I have rekindled my love of photography. I feel design and photography go hand in hand, and I am lucky to be able to assist with photography at some wonderful local schools and nurseries. It’s been an exciting new avenue that brings fresh inspiration into my creative journey, sitting perfectly alongside my design work at Dainty Bee Design.
