Pebble Art - General Information

All Pebble Art Pictures are charged per picture, not per pebble person.

Rest assured, whether your picture includes 2 people, 8 people or a cat - the cost will remain the same price regardless.

As a generalisation, adults are larger than children.
Males are usually darker pebbles, females are lighter pebbles.
Names run from left to right.
Wedding Pebble Pictures are Bride and Groom as standard. Please specify upon ordering if you would like Groom/Groom or Bride/Bride, as well as any other specifics, i.e 'the groom is tall and slim, the bride is short and plump'.
Unless age/size/gender are specified, pebbles will be used at Dainty Bee Design's own discretion. For pictures that have no particular requirements specified with the order, Dainty Bee Design cannot be held responsible for incorrect interpretation.
For orders including pets, it is advised to send a photo along with your order if you would like a more accurate interpretation. Please also take in to consideration that pebbles are natural materials so cannot be 100% accurate to colours or shapes.
Upon ordering, you acknowledge that natural materials are used (shells, pebbles, wood/driftwood) which have natural variations in size, shape and colour. These materials are selected to compliment each other and individual designs, and as such, there will be differences from the samples displayed on the website as well as individual pictures.
Dainty Bee Design may need to contact you if any query arises with your order, and may need to send you a [free] proof before proceeding.

Printed Personalised Art - General Information

All Printed Art Pictures are charged per picture.

Turn around times

Your personalised picture gift is usually created and ready to dispatch within 2-4 working days. During busy periods or holiday time this can sometimes be longer. During 'not so busy' times, this can be shorter.
Stationery items vary depending on the item. You will usually have your item/s within 4 weeks from approval.
I aim to offer a great service - if your picture is needed quicker than normal please let me know before you order and I will try to accommodate and get it to you ASAP. Sometimes this may not be possible but quite often it is.

Delivery Information

Free Royal Mail 2nd Class postage is included with every personalised framed gift going to a UK address. Once despatched, your parcel will usually arrive within 3-4 working days.
You can upgrade to 1st Class Signed (for a quicker postal service) which usually takes around
1-2 working days.
Royal Mail provides a reference number which is sent to you (UK or International Tracked). This is proof of posting and the reference number will be updated with Royal Mail once they have delivered your parcel.
I cannot guarantee any delivery times once items have been posted, this lies with the 3rd party provider (usually Royal Mail). Please visit the Royal Mail website for updates and delays regarding delivery times.
Worldwide postage is available. Costs and delivery times vary depending on Country.

Frame Information

Frames have been sourced from a UK family run business who have been manufacturing picture frames for over 25 years. They are great believers in recycling and sustainability, as is Dainty Bee Design.
All frames are measured in inches from the inside of the frame, so the overall size of the frame is approximately 1 inch larger than the stated size.
Frames can either be hung or stood up and come with crystal clear perspex instead of glass for safer posting.
Picture frames are made from an environmentally friendly material called Polcore®. It is made from recycled polystyrene made up of waste products from mainly two sources: The electronics industry and plastic packaging - mainly from the food industry. These frames have a clean, brushed textured finish (except A4 Oak effect).
If demand is high, frames may sometimes become unavailable, so please bear with me.
Frames do take a couple of weeks from ordering to make and deliver .....but they're worth it! Honest!

Print and Proofs

Pictures/images are printed on quality 300gsm card using HD Inks (unless otherwise specified). Ultrachrome HD inks are used for all in-house prints. This ink is pigment based and Giclée quality, ensuring longevity and accurate colour reproduction of prints.
Free proofs are available upon request. If you request a proof, you MUST approve it before your picture is put in to production. Delays in approval may cause delays in despatch and Dainty Bee Design cannot be held responsible for items which are incorrect when a proof has been sent out and not responded to. You will be contacted twice by email and a 'respond by deadline' will be advised on the second contact - if there is no response in this time frame then your picture will be created and sent out as interpreted.
For stationery items, a 3rd party printing partner is often used to ensure top quality print.

Alterations, Errors, Returns and Damage

Alterations to an existing design:

If you require any alterations to an existing picture this is possible.

Families grow, things change and you may wish your picture to reflect that change.

There is a £10 cost for this service which includes return postage.

Errors:

If I have made an error with your picture it will corrected for free.

If the error is on your behalf there is a £10 charge to correct and return (UK only).

Returns:

Personalised items are non-refundable.

Please contact me for all other returns or queries.

Damaged Pictures:

Pictures are fragile and unfortunately every now and again, a picture will arrive damaged in the post despite the precautions taken. If your picture has arrived damaged, please contact me and I will be more than happy to help. Packages are padded and secured so breakages are kept to a minimum.

'Lost' or 'Missing' Pictures:

Royal Mail are usually good in delivering parcels on time. However, during busy times like Christmas, parcels do take longer than normal to arrive. If your parcel has not turned up as expected, in the first instance, please contact your local Royal Mail depot to see if it is there. After 18 days, any undelivered mail is returned to me. I will contact you should I receive a return. If after around the 25th day, your parcel has not turned up with myself, I can issue a claim with Royal Mail. If this is accepted, I can then either issue you a full refund or send you out a replacement picture. This procedure does take time, so your cooperation and patience is appreciated. I will not leave you without a picture or refund.

Replacement Frames and Perspex

Replacement frames and perspex are available. Please contact me for a price including postage.

Social Media

PLEASE NOTE: Photos are taken of every picture created.

Often, photos are shared to social media (usually after the event if I know when it is taking place). Please let me know at the time of ordering if you do not wish your picture to appear on social media or would only like it to appear after a certain time.

Other Information

Dainty Bee Design holds the copyright to all designs produced, and may from time to time alter a design without prior notice. 'Bespoke' designs may be later used as a basis to create a 'new' design which will then available to purchase on selling platforms.

The Environment

Dainty Bee Design cares about the environment, that is why the packaging and materials used are Eco-friendly. Most materials are recycled and/or can be recycled. Recycling information is sent out with every order.

Dainty Bee Design recycles and re-uses whenever possible, please do the same where you can.

Terms & Conditions

From 1st January 2024

Pebble art, printed pictures, stationery and signage purchased online: are classed as a fixed cost as described in b).

h) applies only if an invoice is issued to you. If you have made payment upfront, ie on Etsy/Amazon/Website/Online, then h) does not apply.

a) Any job booked in includes an initial one hour flat fee, which takes into account admin time (including, but not limited to messages between us, booking your job in on the system, getting quotes from suppliers, artwork and files set up, research etc). This is a minimum charge, regardless. Artwork design may fall into this period, however anything over this will then be charged in 30 minute increments or part thereof.

a1. if it is agreed between you and Karen @ Dainty Bee Design to commence design/work, you acknowledge that you are entering into a contract and you agree to pay incurred fees regardless of whether you wish to complete after receiving an initial proof. This condition applies unless otherwise agreed.

b) Unless a fixed cost is agreed prior to artwork commencing, you will be charged in 30 minute increments at a rate of £24 per hour after the initial hour.

b1. if a fixed rate is agreed, alterations must fall into reasonable requests. Alterations that fall outside of reasonable requests may incur hourly rate charges of which you will be notified of prior commencement. This is at the discretion of Karen @ Dainty Bee Design.

c) Printing from third party providers, if it applies, is a standalone charge on invoices which is included in your final price. A 10% mark-up will be included on top of supplier costs which covers pre-flighting artwork, creating print ready files and sending artwork to the supplier and liaising with them. c1. subsequent reprints of existing artwork created by Dainty Bee Design may not be subject to the same time and costs, and as such may work out cheaper for you.

d) Proofs are sent out (emailed to you) free of charge. Proofs MUST be approved prior to artwork being released.

e) You are responsible for any approvals you make, and Karen @ Dainty Bee Design holds no responsibility once you have approved artwork. Alterations required after approval may incur additional costs. During your approval, you acknowledge you will check spelling as well as detailing.

e1. if an error has been made by Karen @ Dainty Bee Design that you have not picked up during your approval, this remains your responsibility and falls under your approval. Alterations may become chargeable.

e2. however, if an error has been made by Karen @ Dainty Bee Design which has occurred after your approval, then this will be corrected and re-supplied at no extra cost to you.

f) Small alterations, such as a simple change of wording or removal of a full stop may be done free of charge and a new proof supplied. More time consuming alterations will be chargeable at the above hourly rate.

g) Karen @ Dainty Bee Design holds copyright to artworks produced, therefore approval must be sought before copying, duplicating or using any materials other than for what it is intended. Dainty Bee Design owns all artwork produced.

h) Invoices to be paid in full 7 days from the invoice date. Thank you. i) Any artwork produced may be used on social media or in other advertising promotions by Dainty Bee Design. If you do not wish your artwork to be used in this way, please get in touch.
