2024 marks the launch of new and exclusive wedding stationery collections.
Over the past few months, I have been working on producing new and exciting wedding collections, but it all hasn't been plain sailing.
Producing wedding stationery has been on the radar for some time now, but finding the time to sit and plan a new part of this business has been somewhat of a challenge whilst juggling an existing business and family life. This has been a very much different project to setting up the pebble art pictures, which have been at the forefront for quite some time (they will continue to be available).
First on the scene was the Fern & Grace collection of stationery which boasts beautiful botanical vibes. The idea of this collection has been rattling around for quite some time, and eventually it was put into artwork format. Next, I realised the pricing structure had to be sorted. This troubled me as I wanted prices to be as low as possible, yet finding someone to print these within a price range was a bit of a challenge. I had toyed with the idea of printing these myself. My printer is very good quality, although the small nine inks it uses are very expensive and printing large quantities may not be simple.
Weeks passed, design collections were gradually produced and added to my website. Still, the pricing concerned me. It wasn't until I contact a good friend, who is also a graphic designer, that things started falling into place and making sense when we put our heads together. The preparation and background tasks that have gone into creating these collections has been immense, and I've had more than a fair share of sleepless nights over them.
Now, I have had a couple of test prints from various printers and I am happy with their prices and quality. Their low prices means I can pass the savings on to couples who are on a budget, whilst also offering more elaborate designs with foiling and shaped invitations for couples who have a larger budget.
Throughout the whole process of creating stationery collections, I have found huge strength and support from a handful of people who have gone out of their way to offer help, business support and advice. I don't think I could of done it without them and for that, I am forever grateful. My husband, as always has been my rock.
2024 marks new beginnings for Dainty Bee Design's creative wedding stationery. Who wants normal boring stationery when you can have exclusive designs even when you're on a budget!?
I am feeling ready for this project to be launched to the world with some exciting (local to Co. Durham/Newcastle) collaboration news to be announced soon!
